Kim told me he was a Malt with some faults not to 100% standards. But she never told me he was a pig in disguise!!!!!

OMG that boy loves to roll in stinky stuff!!! This is about the 4th time he rolls in poop!!!!!!! He has rolled in cat vomit and worms about 3 other times. I took them out to potty and I was paying attention to were Cody was pottying so I could pick it up when I turn around KCee was in the neighbors front lawn wiggling on his back. Having the time of his life just scratching his back on that lawn and I swear he was smiling!!!!! I knew it was either a worm or poop! He had runny poop all over his back and sides. I just bathed him on Friday.

The other two knew he was in trouble by the way I called his name.

So it's bath time again. You'd think he would figure it out worm & poop = bath!!! Cody has rolled in poop once and worms 3 or 4 times. Is it a boy thing???? Princess Mia Pia would never.

I don't know, maybe it is a boy thing. Dixie rolls once in a while but I can never figure out what it is she's rolling in. She's always come up clean and doesn't smell of anything. Of course I know SHE can smell what ever it is and I make her stop rolling just in case. She doesn't roll on worms she just eats the dried up, dead ones in the drive way. What a bummer, 2 baths in such a short time. Poor Mommy.

It's not just a boy thing. Scarlett loves to roll in stinky stuff. The first time I gave her a bath she went out and rolled in poop! Dead worms are her favorite to roll in and eat. It's disgusting.

In my experience, it's not about gender. Our Lilly does the same thing. Once she found bird guano after the birds had been eating elderberries. Yup; she had stripes of purple poop across her white back. I had to take a picture of that one; it was too much to ask someone to believe. I don't have the ability to share pictures on this forum (or I haven't yet figured it out) or I'd share them.

You are not alone, Koko is the poop and worm roller. When he is outside I have to really keep my eye on him and he knows when I am watching too. One day he was having a wonderful time rolling in the freshly mowed grass and I was thinking yuk he is going to be green, well to my surprise he was also covered in poop ewwwwwwwwww so off to the bath tub he went. The good thing is though he did learn something, now if I see him even thinking about the ole poop or worm roll I say " ya wana bath Koko?" and he stops immediately, he hates bath time so I guess he did learn to relate the two events, maybe because he got bathed immediately after the event, oh and along with a good lecture on stinky dogs get bathed before they are allowed to play inside.
Scooby never does it, well not when I am watching that is, he has also related rolling in stuff to lecture about dirty boy

Guess I have a little piggy too. For Boo it's dead worms, bugs & bird poop. I've only seen Hannah do the roll 1 time, but I couldn't find whatever it was that she was "into".

It's NOT a boy thing. Girly-girl Chloe loves to go out to the yard and roll in lord only knows what nasty things she can find. Xander, who has earned the title of "Weenie boy" has yet to do that. He's a big fruit-loop, and a cry-baby. It's so funny!

ROFL!
I've never heard of dogs rolling in poop! I have, however, seen on Animal Planet,
male lions rubbing their bodies in poop.

I could be wrong, but I
think it's territorial!

Nope. Not a boy thing. My girl is a frequent offender as well. But neither thankfully will roll in another dog's poop. *whew* I find it interesting that they both will jump over, step around, avoid however another dog's poop, but any other type of animal's poop, dead or rotting thing, worms, etc is a favorite body roll thing.
Maybe KCee secretly likes baths!

Yep, he rolls joints ~
And Becky, send me the "purple stripe pic", I'll post it for you.

Linda wrote my sentiments exactly, but about
my prissy little girl, Tchelsi. LOL. I don't know for sure if it's a boy thing ... we have always attributed Tatumn's dirty, spontaneous behavior to being "ALL BOY". Jumping in mud, ruff & tumble, falling full-speed head-over-heels down huge flights of stairs, rushing kamikaze-style into danger without a second thought. These are things Tchelsi would NEVER even think of doing.
Just make sure to keep lots of shampoo on hand at all times! LOL

Add both of my girls to the list of dirty rollers.
While we were in Florida last winter Zoey discovered there's some really big birds there. She loved the green stinky poop she would find. She just about turned herself green all over a couple of times.
Tess has only did the roll a couple of times but Zoey will every chance she gets.

Well, it isn't just a boy thing...let's don't forget Zippy who is a little girl...not a little lady mind you...but female nonetheless. If it is out there and it is nasty...she WILL find it!

I guess it is not just a "Southern" thing.
I feel like we are the street sweepers sometimes when I take them walking. They are trying to eat the dead worms on the curb as fast as they can.

You guys are totally ruining my complete misconception that only obnoxious big dogs, like shepherds, roll in stuff...
None of mine do fortunately - but the very best is when they roll in dead animal. That takes forever to get out!
