Lacie's Mom
So, my husband is still in Phoenix and the girls are alone all day while I'm at the office. sad.gif

I got home last evening, and since the switch from daylight savings time, the house was dark. I opened the door from the garage and turned on a light and looked down at Lacie and Tilly who seemed very happy (as usual) that I was home. biggrin.gif

I looked at them again and saw little pieces of red throughout both of their coats. shocked.gif I immediately thought of blood and wondered how badly injured they were and how it had happened. Maybe a dog fight -- but -- my girls aren't fighters and have never ever fought with one another. smhelp.gif

As I picked Lacie up to exam her, I saw that it wasn't blood at all -- it was RED TULLE. smrofl.gif Both Lacie and Tilly had gotten into a trash basket where I had scraps from the red tulle I had been using for Holiday Dresses. smpullhair.gif Thank goodness it wasn't blood, but they did have me scared for a few minutes. smheat.gif

It did take a while, however, to get all of the tulle picked out of their coats. rolleyes.gif

LOL, they were trying to tell you they were ready for new Holiday dresses! wink.gif

Something like that has happened to me before...but with red string/lint/something. I almost had a heart attack.

After the scare I would have smrofl.gif smrofl.gif smrofl.gif smrofl.gif It reminds me of when my son was small and I was cleaning his ears with Q-Tips and a reddish orange tinge came out on the Q-Tip. Before rushing him to the ER I had hubby look in his ear to see if it his ear drum was busted and he sees something in there and ask for tweezers. He pulls out an orange crayon wrapper from his ear! bysmilie.gif smheat.gif

That would have scared me too. I'm glad everything's OK but I hope they find something a little less frightening to entertain themselves with tomorrow.

I had to laugh because little Missy pulled a similar thing when she was a pup only she had gotten into a purse I had left on the floor and chewed up LIPSTICK! It was 'twilight' when I returned home and she didn't greet me at the door as she normally did. As I went seeking her out in her usual spots.... I was walking down the hall, she streaked out of the bathroom but past me not to me and I saw the 'blood' all over her face. I was sure she had gotten a disposable razor or the like in the bathroom.
I was sure her streaking past me was because she was in pain and didn't know what to do with herself!
Of course I caught up with her and found the 'truth! LOL I was so relieved!!! It was some time before the staining disappeared.
