This ad has started on local tv. It doesn't state that it's a pet store, but just look at their website. Vile.

Just in time for Ho, Ho, Ho. Merry Christmas.
theboyz
I sent them an email and we are sending them info on puppy mills.
It won't make any difference to them but it can't hurt.

Anyone in that area? Picket the store please.

I agree with everyone else. This is so disturbing and what's the most disturbing is there's probably nothing that can be done about it and there will be people who will look at that site and buy a pup! They should have to put a banner across the top of that site that says "Broker for Puppy Mills". It makes me sick.
Sassy's mommy
Just in time for the holidays, uggggg. I emailed them and gave them info how to take care of a very small pup. I hate to see pups become ill just because people don't know how to care for them.
Scoobydoo
I too am not happy about this place, I just wonder though how well they are going to do considering the present economic situation, what is going to become of all the puppies if they don't manage to sell them, that is what really worries me sad.gif
Harrysmom
I truly hope that tiny maltese doesn't get purchased by a family.... she is way too fragile.. this
is really hateful!
Lois1103
If they have a $4000 maltese puppy...I'd like to know where she came from! Must be some kind of super dooper champion line that I've never heard of - because I don't know many reputable breeders selling pups for $4000!!!! mad.gif ....and she is not even standard size. Did you see how very very tiny? Oh dear - this just makes me so sad. crying.gif

Oh, I "love" the way they say they searched for the finest breeders in the land. What a bunch of bull. The finest breeders in the land wouldn't sell to such a place as this.

And when they say "showroom".... hmmmm, that's for cars... not puppies.

Disgusting. mad.gif smmadder.gif smcry.gif smpullhair.gif no2.gif thmbdn.gif yucky.gif

Our battle against puppy mills and places like this just seems to go on and on doesn't it? For every small victory, it seems another place like this pops up with better marketing to con uneducated people. We need to get some celebrities who are willing to be educated to take this up as a cause. Seems like whenever Hollywood gets behind something, people listen.

That's what really got me, too, Sher. And they even had the gall to mention that they are from "private professional USDA breeders and 'facilities'". This is a whole new level of disgusting, imo.

This just makes me sick. The other day on my way to work "Petland " was advertising "Designer Dogs" makes me so mad. smmadder.gif

terrible! false advertising for sure!

smmadder.gif this just makes me so mad - if only all dog lovers heard and learnt more about puppy-mills and such, I bet that they wouldn't consider buying from such a place...then that business and any other similar ones will go down

I couldn't agree more! I closed the window right after reading the "showroom" sentence. How can anyone buy from people who think of dogs the sameway they think of furniture/cars/appliances? The picket idea is great. I've heard about a few Petlands being closed b/c people wouldn't shop there after a protest was held, yippeee!!!!!! Someone who lives in that area should definatley look into it. It's an uphill battle but I think we are making some progress. We just have to keep telling everyone about petstores and puppymills.

Linda ~ I'm just now seeing this thread.

I haven't pulled up their site yet, but must say, that is the longest, dumbest ad I've seen.

"To come share a cup of tea, with me. La La La" HistericalSmiley.gif

Why not say, come share a box of chocolates.

Stupid, lieing Jerks. I'm off to see the website now.

I sent them an email asking why they would buy from USDA breeders and this is the response I got:

QUOTE
Thank you for your comments with respect to the USDA. Many of our breeders do in fact raise their puppies in an home environment and some are show breeders. I appreciate your comments about the USDA, however I respectfully disagree with your statement that the USDA equals puppy mills.

American Dog Club

USDA rules do say the dogs cannot be kept in a residence, right? So they are buying from USDA breeders that they know break the rules? I did send them an email asking about the USDA rules and show breeders.
I Found Nemo
They buy from puppy-mills plain and simple, however I do believe him that he may have a pup from a so called reputable breeder or two mad.gif
Maidto2Maltese
EEE Gad! Don't get me started! mad.gif

Terrible............but they certainly know how to make the site appeal to the eye....................prices are outrageous. Very sad............puppymills need to GO!!!!! And so do the petstores that get their dogs from them.
