A few months ago I asked a few questions about maltese meet-ups and I have a couple more.
We have a brand new beautiful luxury dog resort in town and I have talked with the events coordinator about having maltese meet-ups there. They have a cafe and are interested in featuring the cafe during the meet-ups but the charge may be $5 per person for tea, soft drinks, and hors d'ouvres.
Here's my questions:
1. I'll probably start out with quarterly meet-ups to see what the interest is. Would you pay $5 a person for a meet-up? I'm especially interested in hearing from those of you with children.
2. Do those of you who attend meet-ups pay anything?

Our Maltese meet-ups charge $5
per family. The times I've brought my 2 kids I throw in another $5 even though my kids don't really eat anything, etc.

I wouldn't have a problem at all with paying the $5.00. It would be worth it!

I would certainly pay $5. That's not really that much in today's world.

I would pay $5 for a family, but not $5 per person.
I think it would be better to charge $5 per dog, not per person/family.

I would most definitely pay $5 for a meetup! I dont' have kids, but I would pay $5 per person and bring a friend or two. Meetups are so much fun! In my area they have pet parades/pet festivals and charge $25....most of the money goest to aspca charities. So for $5 and for an all maltese meetup....I would personally jump on board!

I'd jump at the chance to pay $5 per person for a meetup, if only there were one in my area! Where else could you get so much fun for us and our babies for $5.00? I'm thinking that's a real bargain!

Why would you charge per dog? Unless the drinks & hors d'ourves are for the dogs??

Is this going to be in the Lexington, Ky area? I would love to take Stella! Just let me know (if this is the meet-up I'm thinking of) when you get all the details worked out and when you are going to start.
