Kim (Nissa's mom) asked me before her surgery if I would post and let everyone know how the surgery went. I received a call from Bill, who is Kim's husband, regarding her surgery. He said all went well, they did do the surgery abdominally and she is in recovery. He expects her to be in the hospital until at least Sunday. I will update later if I receive more news.

Update: I spoke with Kim on the phone tonight around 7ish. She was talking and coherent, she sends thank yous to everyone for all of your nice thoughts and prayers....she said to send her best to everyone.

Update II: I received an email from Kim this morning that said she ended up having a reaction to the IV pain medication they had her on and her whole body itched all night until they got it under control this morning. She didn't get any sleep last night. So I called her this afternoon and she said she was feeling much better after they had changed her meds. She was cheerful and said to say thankyou to everyone for their kind thoughts and prayers. Again she sends her best.

Update III: I spoke with Kim around 9 P.M. and she asked if I would post this update. She got out of the hospital tonight and is now at her sister/BIL home. She ran a fever during the night last night, but after hydrating herself during the day she was allowed to be released from the hospital tonight. She is feeling very tired but said her sister had made a wonderful dinner and she had eaten and was going to take Nissa and go to bed. Nissa was one happy little girl when Kim arrived home. Kim said she is sticking to her like glue. Kim and Bill will probably remain in the twin cities tomorrow, but Kim hopes to return home on Monday.

Kim's mom was admitted to the hospital today and the doctors are not sure what is wrong. Her kidneys were only functioning at about 14% which isn't good. Please keep Kim and her mom in your thoughts and prayers.

Pat thank you for keeping us updated. I am glad that Kim is out of the hospital but worried about the fever. I am sure that Nissa was THRILLED to see her Mommy.
