I just gave Bella a bath and I noticed a purple bump/ball on the side of her right back leg. She had her last set of shots exactly a week ago and the vet put one on her neck and one on each leg. She was really sick Saturday night with a fever and she was super down. The vet told me that this would probably happen but what about the bump. Could this be still from her shots? Her vet is closed until Monday. I thought maybe this has happened to one of you.

She has not been acting different and it seems not to hurt her at all.

Maybe she bumped it and has a bruise and a knot. I don't think it's anything to worry about.

its normal and can last for as much as two weeks...the body sometimes treats the vaccine as a foreign substance and will wall it off....eventually it will be absorbed. so if it is still there in a week then call your vet or if it gets larger. but it should shrink down with time, so no worries

Thanks for your replies. I haven't logged in since I posted so I just read your replies. I did call the vet this morning and he asked me to take her so I did and he confirmed that it was from the vaccine. He didn't charge me a penny to see her so I thought that was nice. I feel much better knowing that she's ok.
