I found this on a website and thought it might be helpful:
CKC = Continental Kennel Club
FCI = Fédération Cynologique Internationale
AKC = American Kennel Club
UKC = United Kennel Club
KCGB = Kennel Club of Great Britain
CKC = Canadian Kennel Club
ANKC = Australian National Kennel Club
NKC = National Kennel Club
NZKC = New Zealand Kennel Club
APRI = American Pet Registry Inc.[/B]

Thanks! I always get confused about CKC because there's two. I am wondering what the differences are, you know? Like which are designated for puppy mills and stuff.

I was wondering too. Maybe someone can post the differences. I know the APRI is a puppy mill one. I think the Continental Kennel Club is one also.

The Canadian Kennel Club is to Canada what the AKC is to the US. So for those of you who are Canadians, CKC is a good sign.

The so-called puppy mill registries are the United States CKC, UKC and the APRI. The CKC even registers mixed breed dogs.

Here is an excellent article on the different kennel clubs.

For a second, I thought, "Hm, maybe they could make the the Canadian Kennel club CaKC" and the Continental Kennel Club CoKC to help clear up the confusion...

But i fear that CoKC can easily be misread.
