As many of you already know, AMA will be offering a seminar at the Specialty on Friday, May 7 from 9-2 (with a break for lunch). The seminar, presented by Claudia Waller Orlandi, Ph.D., is The ABC's of Breeding. Whether you are a breeder, hope to be a breeder, or are curious about the art and the science that breeding is based on, this seminar offers something for everyone. Claudia is an animated and engaging speaker and the time will fly by! Although you do not need to pre-register, AMA would prefer that you do so that they can make sure there is adequate space and so that Claudia can "guesstimate" the number of textbooks to have on hand for purchase ($25). The seminar is free of charge for AMA members and registered guests (those who have paid the $10 non-member registration fee). Non-registered guests may also attend at a fee of $35. There will be a pre-registration form available on the AMA website in the next 24-48 hours. I can't say enough about the wealth and depth of knowledge you will walk away with if you attend this seminar!

Cat, not that I'm trying to get you to spend money (and AMA makes nothing of the sale) but do think about buying the book and, if you do, buy it before the seminar. I purchased the book years ago, went to the seminar a couple of years ago, bought the updated book (donated the older on to my kennel club library), and refer to it constantly. It definitely is not a book that just sits and collects dust in my dog book library!
