Hi yes I have heard of it .. I saw it in the Rens pet store for Groomers.
I actully bought the whiteing chulk product they make as well I'm happy with that product. handelers use it to cover up pee stains during shows. Mind you I don't use chalk one offten .So I'm sure the one you got is good too and safe.
I also found something called D-matt that does the same thing you discribe above.
I use that when I can not give chelsey a bath with Bless the Beast .
