I am not trying to start any contoversy, but this particlular article by HSUS on SM is disturbing.

It says at the bottom that it was reprinted with permission from the HSUS, so I assume they're the ones who wrote it. Isn't it just highlighting one area of their work as it relates to puppy mills..?

No, that isn't what HSUS is about. They are not related to any humane societies. They are raising money to stop everyone from having pets or any kind of animal at all. I don't think that SM should have this on their site. I think they need to research this topic before posting it. JMO

I am sure the name confuses many people. I never send them money. If I make a donation I do it to the local SPCA.
