I agree with the article. I am not a fan of feeding actual raw....dehydrated raw is what I prefer to go with.
That was interesting...

I guess I took something different away from the article.. I thought that they were saying that eliminated dogs that were fed raw diets was a little bit over the top.

lol and of course the pet food manufacturers didn't approve of a raw diet. Don't they think that corn is good for dogs? ...

I'm probably out of my mind though.. I'm taking summer courses so the amount of reading I've done at this point has made my brain weird.. lol
Yes! It is my opinion that feeding raw is dangerous to both dogs and humans.

Different strokes for different folks. That's what makes the world so interesting. I haven't a strong opinion on it either way.

I agree:thumbsup:
I tend to think that feeding raw to a dog is no more dangerous than cooking your dinner. You wash your hands and all the surfaces when your done working with the food and if you handle raw dog food the same way you should be fine.

Check any dogs butt and you'll find e.coli bacteria and a lot of other bacteria whether they are kibble fed or raw fed. Same is probably true for our own butts.(Except for mine which smells like roses and is bacteria free at all times)

If there are immune compromised people in a home like children or elderly it's probably better to avoid raw. But a dog or a person with a healthy immune system shouldn't have any problems.

Everyone needs to work in their own comfort levels and find what works best for their animals and their lifestyle. Even though I like the idea of raw food it has worked out best for me and my animals to feed home cooked food.
I wonder sometimes if people are as careful when they themselves eat sushi - very easy to get parasites, or when they handle raw spinach or lettuce - which has sickened people with ecoli.

In general, I think that our obsession with eliminating all germs in our environment is too extreme, and probably has harmed us in some ways.

Thousands and thousands of people feed raw meat to their pets and have had no issues at all. Many of these people have seen their dog's health improve.

There are definitely many opinions on this subject and all of them should be respected, even if we disagree.

That's what I think too.
