Doggy breath right?

Have you tried greenies? I also give Brinkley some Mother Hubbard bone treats I found at Petsmart that are minty for breath. They are not his favorite, but he will nibble on them for awhile when there is nothing else. My sister gets some breath tabs from somewhere...maybe walmart...? That she gives her Chihuahuas.
Maybe that will help...others will have better advice...but there's mine.

Do his teeth look okay? Is the smell a recent change? There is always the worry that they have an abscessed tooth if their breath suddenly gets worse. If not, keep brushing. There are some gels that can be wiped onto the teeth that not only help with tartar, but freshen their breath. I really like those.
bad breath can mean that yoru babies teething or check the ears whenever maxi has had bad breath it has been his teeth one time he had an ear infection
i brush his teeth every morning and i give him greenies once or twice
If its not a health problem like everyone described above... then try not giving your baby nasty smelling things to eat... haha.. i do NOT feed anything with peanut butter smell to Kodie! haha.. I HATE PEANUT BETTER! lol... I dont give him pig ears either.. they are stinky!...
Maybe i'm just crazy...
haha.. i'm silly like that..

Did I read somewhere that pig ears were bad for them? they could choke or something? thought I heard that on MO?
pig ears and raw hides can be dangerous if ur dog is the type to bite off big chunks and swallow them whole...paker barely gets a piece off, and only eats them when im watching so in that sense they are safe
Well Lola is just getting her adult teeth. It's been about 2 weeks or less.
She just got her top set and her bottoms are coming in. Could this be the cause?
I don't think she's teething as much as she was before. I just notice that her breath was stanky recently. LOL

I don't think she has an ear infection. She doesn't scratch them or doesn't tug on them so I don't think that's it.

She looooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooove her greenies!!!! It is totally like crack for them. LOL The only time Lola bit me seriously was when she was little and she had one in her moth and I got to close. She thought I was taking it away and bit me hard!! LOL Never again.
I try to get it for her often but she's out right now. I usually get the petite ones and cut them into 3 parts and give them to her little by little. I want sometihng that will make her breath smell really minty so i'm going to go get some doggie mints. I don't have a walmart near me so i'm gonna try target.

ALSO... I wanted to ask.... Does raw hide make her breath smell. Cuz after she chews it I smell the stick and it stinks and her breath is worse.

thanks :D

I love the Denta Green Bones for bad breath.. It makes Tuffy's breath smell so good, very minty!
sounds like the bad breath is def. from the teeth coming in....it will eventually go away

Just make sure that these items don't have xylitol in them... it is toxic to dogs....

Yeah... I cut the greenies with a big kitchen knife.

It's really hard to break but if you get a knife and point it straight down and press really hard it'll just snap in half. Becareful!!!

Those things are sooooo expensive. And it would take Lola 2 hours to eat the whole thing and she'll sit there until it's completely done.

So cut it, it's so worth it.
