Butchie finally posed - for one picture

Here's my Butchie, who I bailed out of the shelter in early February 2010. He's getting dangerously furry--His coat is curly and he runs through the sprinklers (and rolls on the ground, too) so I think this is about as long as I can ever let his coat grow. He's got an appointment for next week--if I don't take some shears to it myself. :D

Anyway, I thought his expression was quite cute. :) He is acting more and more affectionate towards me. I may still be in 2nd place, next to his Chihuahua buddy, but I think it's getting to be a closer second.

His Chihuahua buddy likes the limelight--Butchie doesn't. ;)

Oh look at Butchie!:wub: He was the one who the guy at the shelter named right? I remember reading about him. He looks so happy. Thank you so much for giving him a happy, loving home. :grouphug:
Oh look at that sweet face! He's living the life now! Running through sprinklers and rolling on the ground...every fluffs dream. Zoe wants to know if she can come live with you. She LIVES for that stuff and sadly her G'ma and G'pa let her. Then she comes home with me in the evening and I have to give her a bath!
He is a little sweetie for sure
He looks like such a sweet little guy. Thank you for getting him out of the shelter.
Oh, he is absolutely adorable!!!! I love the look on his face!
I love the picture of Butchie as if he's saying, Hi it's me!!! :) Kodi's hair also curly.
That is a content and happy face for sure, it's great he has a little buddy too.
The dog formerly known as Butch, renamed Butchie, thanks you.

He would love to have more playmates, but the human here might have trouble keeping up with them. I wonder how we will adapt when summer is over. Long walks in raincoats? ;)
BUTCHIE:smootch: aww he looks so cute, I just want to hold him and love on him:wub:
so cute!!! His hair looks a lot like Hunters but I have never let his get that long - too many mats but it just looks so beautiful!!!!! Hunter would love to roll in the grass with Butchie!
He is adorable,so is your chi! Bless you for rescuing.
Chloe's favorite treat is freeze dried liver. She knows the bag like the back of her paw.

So when I want her to pose, I hold the bag of liver treats over my head and this is how I can get her to kinda look at the camera. Also, she hates the flash so I make sure I turn it off. My Sony Cybershot also has a red-eye reduction lens that emits a red light on to your subject. I covered it with a piece of black electrical tape so the red light does not shine on to her eyes which irritates her.

If you do some of these tricks, you can trick your cute Butch into posing for you!
What a cutie pie!! His coat looks exactly like Harley's! In fact, Butchie himself looks a lot like Harley!

Thanks for the suggestions! :)

I was still using an older, 3rd hand camera that's very slow--I got a new one but have too much to learn!

Butchie thanks everyone for the compliments. :)

Now I am torn about the haircut--If I have time this weekend, I might just bathe him and maybe use a lot of conditioner and see if his curls will relax and behave a little. But then he'd just walk through the sprinkler again, I bet.
