I am probably a little extra paranoid since I lost Maddy to a heart defect, but I'm wondering if this is normal. When Lizzie is laying down after playing or panting or sometimes after doing nothing at all, you can see her heartbeat in her whole body. Her whole body moves with each and every beat. This is just something I've noticed in the last 2 weeks or so.

Does anyone else notice this in their babies?? And if not, does this mean I'm in for another heartbreak??

No, no. It's not panting I'm talking about. She does that like a "normal" dog. What I'm talking about is when she is laying down/sitting still (very rare, mind you), I can sometimes see her pulse in her fur.

Okay, I can explain it a different way. You know when you've got your legs crossed and you can sometimes see your leg "bounce" with your heartbeat? That's what I see Lizzie's fur doing.

Maybe that makes more sense - ??
