I just went to the store... and i bought these.. but now i'm thinking.. are these even good for your dog? Are these made with rawhide... cause i know rawhide is bad for dogs? chewies

it is raw hide but if u r supervising when he is eating them he should be fine. the reason why raw hide has a bad name is b/c dogs will bite off large pieces and awallow them, and then it swells inside and blocks the intestine. i give parker raw hide all the time b/c i know he just knaws on it. he never gets a piece off, so one raw hide lasts him forever. but if kodie is the type to rip it to pieces and swallow large chunks then either watch him when he chews it, or dont give it to him.

Peanut used to be like Parker and just gnaw on the raw hide, but now he can bite off big chunks of it so I don't give them to him anymore. I heard some scary stories of how the raw hide can get stuck and block the dog's intestines. I don't want to risk it now that he can break the pieces apart.
