My sister-in-law sent this to me and I checked it out with Snopes.com to see if it was legit and they had nothing on it so I am putting it here on SM because I know we all want to help rescues.

Please, please, please pass this site along to everyone on your mailing lists.

The Animal RescueSite is having trouble
getting enough people to click on it

daily to meet their quota of getting free food donated every
day to abused and neglected animals.

It takes less than a minute to go to their site and click on
"feed an animal in need" for free. This doesn't cost you a
thing. Their corporate sponsors/advertisers use the number
of daily visits to donate food to abandoned/neglected
animals in exchange for advertising. (Weight Watchers is one of the sponsors!)

Here's the web site! Click on this link, and when the site opens, click on the purple box that says Feed an Animal for free. That's it! Pass it along to people you know.

I used to click on this every day and I still do, but on another forum that I belong to a lot of people claim that it was false.

I'm going to try to find the threath and copy it here....

Here is what one person wrote about that website....like I said I still click it just in case it does help! :D

"hate to be the bearer of bad tidings all, but this site is a for
profit advertising scam run by a corporation called CharityUSA.com. (The
.com in the web address is a good tip off .)

You can read an article about how it works (or in fact, works really
badly) at:

Thanks for the link, ILDM. The article said this organization runs other charity sites such as for Breast Cancer, Animal Rescue, and a couple others. They paid 54% in operating costs, which is 4% above the threshold set to be qualified a charitable organization.

As to each click being worth only a fraction of a cent toward charity I say, what do you expect. You are clicking 2 buttons! One to get to the site and one to click for the charity.

966 free mammograms means a lot to those 966 women who received them.
