I was just wondering if part of the cause of some of Harley's knots & matts could be because of his jumper (sweater) I put on him occasionally when the weather is cold?

He was outside ALL day yesterday - he just popped his head in occasionally to check on me - so I put his jumper on because I was freezing inside, so figured he would get cold outside! Anyways, when I took his jumper off, he had heaps of knots & matts!! They are mostly down his sides, not really under his 'arms' because when he went to the groomer last she had to cut him short under there due to matts.

Did the jumper cause this? Does anyone else have problems with clothing causing knots or anything?

Yes, clothes can and will cause matts. That is way it is important not to leave it on all day.

Doh! Well I wont be doing that again in a hurry!! Harley will only tollerate so much when I'm grooming him, so I've had to try & work on them in short bursts. I ordered Ice on Ice last week .... wish I had it now!
