Do you save it as a gif....like when you save do you click on "Save as" then save it to your documents?

Hmmmmm I have never had that problem, perhaps 2000 operates differently, I don't know. Maybe the program you are using to open the file after saving doesn't support gifs, you could try opening the file in a different program like when you right click on it go to "open with" and choose a different program and see what happens then.

You have to remember that a .gif is two things, it's a bunch of pictures, and, code that tells the pictures when and how to play....

most graphic programs will only open the first frame of an animated .gif you are probably opening it in windows paint brush or something similar at work that is not reading the code.

do this. find your .gif, and right click on it , then open with, and search for internet explorer. or....

right now up in the upper left hand corner of your explorer window go to file, open, and browse for the file to open it in your explorer window.

One more thing.. sometimes when windows is bogged down with temp files it will no longer process the code for animated .gifs. you might need to go to Tools in explorer, then internet options, then delete all offline files, or temporary internet files.

that should do it.
