Hearguard is for heartworm and other parasites. Lexi is on Heartguard and Frontline Plus because we go camping, so I wanted to protect her against ticks. I am glad I decided to do the Frontline Plus because I have found 2 ticks on her since May. Neither of them had attached to her yet but I was glad that she was protected just in case I had not caught them in time.
