DANG! It was hectic. Waking up before 6am isnt fun, but what can I say? Welcome to the real world, huh? I can't believe how much reading I have to do. This whole weekend I have been doing nothing but read read read and I cant stand reading anymore. I was hoping since I wont have a life during school that I would read "DaVinci Code" but HEEEEEEEEEEECCCKKKKK NO! I was so overwhelmed by all the work they gave us on the first week. I mean, sure I knew that we were gonna start learning stuff. I just wished they didnt cram so much in the first week. And hello!?!?! On Tues., I only have 25 mins for lunch!!! That wont be a good day for me. Plus on Tues. and Thurs, I'll have to leave Cloud home for OVER 9 hrs. Im going to look for an exercise pen b/c it breaks my heart to think he has to stay in his crate for that long. I cant leave him out b/c he scratches the $&!* out of the door. I tried to put a cardboard over the door, but even with GOOD taping, he still got thru the cardboard.

However, he's been doing FANTASTIC on his potty training. I probably jinxed myself saying that but he's doing sooo well. I am pondering whether or not to put pads on in his ex pen on Tues and Thurs since it's over 9 hrs of holding it him...Let me know what you guys think. I wont put a pad down on Mon, Wed, and Fri though.

Overall, I feel that the next 2 yrs will be a good one. The first week sucked. It rained most of the week and I was having girly issues and waking up early and having so much work and LEAVING HOME and worrying if Cloud's ok--It made me sooooo sad. But hopefully, I will adjust ASAP. I should be excited right? I get out in 2 yrs! And I can come home every weekend!

But, ohhh, how I miss the simple days of waking up whenever I feel like it and going on SM every single day. I have no internet yet, but will have it next wk. So after today, you probably wont see me for a whole wk. TAKE CARE EVERYONE!

You sound like me...I always worry about leaving Miko alone. I do think that you should use an exercise pen. I think it may be too long in a crate. I leave Miko with the run of apartment. He is over 2 yrs old and doesn't destroy anything. I feel better that at least he can pee/poop as needed.

This month I have been waking up at 5 am to be able to walk Miko so that he is tired during the day!! Miko is not always happy about getting up while its dark, but what can I do?

School sounds exciting for you!!!!!

Awww....you will be fine!

How exciting for you.

You and Cloud will both adjust and settle in to the routines before long.
I would put a pad out especially on that day that you are gone for so long. It might not hurt on the other days too, just so he doesn't get confused...but I don't know.

Good luck and study hard!!!!!!!

Awww, glad to hear your first week is over.
It is very hectic and it is hard to feel like you are ever caught up. That's how I was anyway, but as long as you do all you can do it will all work out!
Also take some time away from the books, or else you will completely not pay any attention to what you are trying to study. It will be great to be out in 2 years. This is my first fall not having school, and it is so hard to believe, I don't have to go back
. Hard to believe I get paid for what I am doing now also ( I had to do the same things in clinicals for school and all we got for it were 2 credit hours
) Your 2 years will fly by!
I would put a pad in the exercise pen for Cloud on his long days; we leave one out for Caesar on his long days.
Good luck to ya!!!

I'm not attending school full time, but I am taking a couple of courses this semester, psychology and simply accounting. I usually try to take a couple of courses a year. Last year I took a nutrition course and found it really helpful. I take some of them through distance ed with my 3 babies laying at my feet while I'm on the computer. Good luck with your studies

Hey everyone! Well the second week is over. It's not as overwhelming as the first week. I think because all they did was lecture...even during my 3-4 hr labs, it made it sooo overwhelming. I mean, it's tiring to here someone talk for 4.5 hrs long!!! Yesterday, was the first day since school started that I did not read anything. HAHA I had to work and I had a headache by the time I was done. The people in my class are great. We are gonna be in the same classes for the next 2 yrs so I'm glad we all get along...for now. It's all girls, so you never know!

Instead of buying him a $60+ Xpen or buying it off ebay and waiting awhile, I bought 2 baby gates and I took the 2 baby gates($10/each) we have at home and I use those zip ties and turned it into a nice pen for cloud. It's a lil under 40x40 inches. And I put pads for him on tues and thurs. It works out fine. I just wish he wouldnt cry and bark as much when I leave. My neigbhor downstairs says he barks pretty much all day long. Thank GOODNESS she's away by 6-7am. It makes me sad.

I don't think I'm feeding Cloud too much or any different than before, but he poops twice in the mornings! After we eat, I shower and by the time I come out, he pooped! ON THE CARPET TOO!
What a loser. Then I get ready and then I walk him and he poops again.

I had internet hooked up this Sat so I couldnt go home Fri. I was sad but I got some major HW done for this one class. I HATE WORKBOOKS! I fill like I'm in elementary school. I haven't done workbooks in like 20 yrs! And the questions are all out of order and worded so complex! The authors are losers! LOL But, yeah, the guy came in and then told me to install some software and then I tried to but I cant get it to work!
And there stupid offices are closed Sat! You freaking install on Sat but you don't have CS on Sat? LOSERS LOSERS LOSERS!

But other than that, I've been holding up well. Thanks for all of ya'll support!

Good luck in week three!!!

Maybe Cloud is barking at noises since you are in an apartment. Maybe it just confuses him. Maybe if you left some noise on for him that masked some of the outside noise it would help. Maybe not, but just a thought.

Have you tried walking him late at night? Maybe he will be able to get the poop out that way! I also walk Miko as soon as I wake up (before shower and breakfast). Also, I try to leave Miko with plenty of chewies (bully sticks, nylabones, greenies). So he is either napping or chewing. Has Buttercloud ever been alone for this long before? Also, I don't know if its possible, but maybe having Noriko there would help so they could keep each other company!! I have also started leaving the tv on low volume while I am gone and when I get home, Miko is on the coach watching it (tooo cute)!!

I know, leaving him at home is so sad...I feel terrible every day that I do it. But what can you do? I refuse to wait till I retire to have a dog and that will be the only time when I stay home all the time.

Well, Cloud hasnt fully adjusted to the change. It's all new to him still. I do leave the TV or radio on for him but my neighbor says she can still hear him and she also turns up the tv during the day where I can here it too(doesn't bother me b/c she doesn't turn it loud late at night). But I think he just wants attention. It's only for 2 days a wk it's not too bad.

I already wake up at 5:50 every morning. I walk him for 20-25 mins. I am really pressed for time in the mornings so I cant take him walking twice but I do take him outside first thing in the morning. I'll just crate him when I'm showering or bring him in the restroom w/me. I take him walking in the afternoons too. I won't take him out walking at night because I'm scared. TEEHEE.

And my bf will not give up Noriko and I don't think I can handle watching and taking care of both of them. It's really better this way that way we can see who's been pottying when they're not suppose to.
