Hi all

I have recently changed Daisys food to the below, its a high end brand over here...

Petmeds.co.uk - Pet Medication Supplies - Royal Canin - Mini Sensible Dog

Daisy reached 10 months of age and the vets here in the UK say that 10 months is the age to move onto adult food.

She was on the Royal Canin Puppy food previously. She had tear staining when young but she grew out of it, thought she was not totally stain free, she was close to it.

However, over the last week she seems to be developing more tear staining.

Could it be caused by something in the new foods ingredients?

Thanks Tracey

To be honest, that food is not high quality at all. Daisy could be allergic to several things in that food: Rice, the "dehydrated poultry meat" (I would stay away from any food that did not state specifically WHAT type of poultry), and then there is beet pulp which some think contributes to tear staining although it is not proven.

I am from the US so I cannot recommend better foods that you may have available to you in the UK but perhaps someone else will know.
Ok thank you.

I will have to try and source a better food, perhaps I will have to go on line and buy some..

Thanks for your input
