My name is Tina, and I love this forum. I have been reading it off and on for a couple of years. Well I finally paid for a subscription and officially joined SM. I cannot thank you all enough for the invaluable information on health, nutrition, grooming, breeders, etc. I am also very touched by the amount of support the members give one another.
My husband and I live in Texas (DFW area) with our three maltese. Prior to moving to DFW, we lived north of San Diego. Within four months of being married, we brought our first baby girl, Kiko, home to live with us. She is almost ten years old, and she is as smart as a fifth grader!!! Six months later, we added Kobe to our family. Unfortunately, we lost him in 2007 at the age of seven to lymphoma. We were devastated, and we never shed so many tears in such a short amount of time. (I later found out that Kobe came from a puppy mill). Within three weeks, we added Oliver to our family. Because of the age difference, Kiko never connected with Oliver. He would try to play with her, but she would run from him. It was so sad to see this sweet little puppy without a playmate. I begged for another baby for two years before my husband finally relented. This past November, we added Daphne Rose to our family. She is nine months old now, and she is so sweet and spunky. She and Oliver love to play, and they are cuddled up together as I am writing this.
I look forward to being a part of this group of wonderful people who share the same love for their fur babies.
Thanks for the kind welcomes!!! FYI--I am trying to change my user name b/c its4tina is my email address that I just used to sign up. I want to make it something that goes with the maltese theme more. I sent an email to the forum group, but I have not heard back yet. Thanks in advance for any help.
