So I buy a Sturdibag for an upcoming flight, and leave it put it out for Nikki so she will get used to it. Then I take her old Sherpa backpack carrier out, put it next to the Sturdibag for size comparision. The next thing I know, Nikki is curled up sleeping in the Sherpa bag. She won't go near the Sturdibag.

Something tells me that I might be returning the Sturdibag...:HistericalSmiley:

It seemed like many people like the Sturdibag because it has a top that springs back when it is smooshed under the airplane seat.

Funny thing is, I bought the Sherpa Backpack Bag on sale for $24!

for our trip to Atlanta, I bought Ava an American Tourister carrier....I figured they'd do it right for travel. no...if you're not holding the handles up, the top crushes in - I hate that!!!!!! Wish I hadn't wasted that money.

Sherpa has a reputation for collapsing, but the backpack model is a little taller and doesn't have a top opening. It seems more stable than their standard carrier.

Pat, you should try and sell the American Tourister.

Pat why don't you return it and say it didn't meet your standards for flying, ie doesn't hold it's shape.

Yes. Look for it at Petsmart. I found mine really cheap there. I can't vouch for it yet for airline flight.

I have a Sherpa bag and I love it! I've had it for 4 years and it doesn't collapse at all. Both of my pups will curl up inside and sleep in it if it's out

Most people like the sturdibags but I don't!!! For a little girl, it messes the topknot up and I don't like that. I have a red one and it will never be used.....
