Get your pup ready for fireworks next year

Did the fireworks cause your pups stress this 4th of July? If so, it's not too early to plan for next year. Start desensitizing your pooch now by playing Fireworks sounds while treating them simultaneously as the sound plays. Stop treating when you stop the sound. Start at a low volume for a short duration, increasing volume and duration of time as your dog becomes more and more relaxed. Take your time, no need to hurry. Don't forget the treats, just playing the noise could actually have a negative effect. You don't want to Flood your dog with the sound, rather slowly get them comfortable with the it.
