Thats funny his tail is wider than his body. HAHA BTW for those who may not know Persains are naturally very lean cats. He is as healthy as a horse.

Omg he looks so cute
I have never seen a cat that has been shaved, do you do it for any reason? Will you need to put a sweater on him for the winter?
Does it cut down the shedding in the house?
Sorry so many questions but shaving cats is all new to me and I am just curious and Alex sure looks happy about it too

If one was trying to depict what is going through his mind there I would have to say..." Some day I will get you for this"
He looks as though he is frowning, but his expression is absolutely gorgeous

Yikes!  If looks could kill......

Did I miss it, why is he shaved?  I'd hate to be the one that shaved him if that look is any indication how he feels about it!

Oh me too, but then from memory persians probaby have a natural scowl underneath all that fur anyways.

If I had a persian I would definately keep him just like that, short, at least he will have a lot less furballs stuck in his tummy.

That picture makes me think of my friend's persian. She got him shaved for the summer and her other cat attacked him when he got home. I guess he didn't like the persian's new look. Do you have a picture to show us in full coat? I would love to see the comparison.

Here is my crazy cat.....who stalks my dogs.

Alex is always in the house. He would need a caot if he did go out. We shave him about 4 times a year. He is a big mat if you dont keep him brushed. Persains hair is VERY Dense and thick. Very difficult to keep mat free. We was a show cat and a great example of his breed but he didnt care for it. Persains naturally have that ticked off look.

Here is a pic when we first got him

Here is one of him in a full coat
