I've been reading a lot, and even posted a couple, before I found the "Introduce Yourself" forum.

I too am awaiting my new owner, he's a little male, he'll be 4 weeks old tomorrow. I'm hoping he's just old enough to get a bite of Turkey!
He's one of the little darlings in the picture.
I've done a lot of research and I believe I'm buying from a good breeder, she asked a lot of qualifying questions and has been very friendly and helpful about all my questions. I'm hoping to learn to show and someday breed these little darlings. I have already gone to my first kennel club meeting and will be working at their show this week-end to help me learn. I'm lucky enough not to have to work, and am prepared for an entirely new way of life.
I have already learned a lot from reading all your posts, and I thank you for all the sweet pictures of your furbabies... somehow looking at them makes the wait for mine a little more bareable, I should be getting him around January 20th.

Thank you all for the big warm welcome. I found a picture somewhere of a 4 week old puppy and it appears that my new baby probably looks more like a pup than a rat by now! My breeder has a web page for my puppies' litter and has promised new pictures every so often so I can watch him grow up. Should have new pics by next week. I can't wait till I have him here and can take pictures of my own. Besides, my arms ache... I need a new baby to hold!
I just love all of your pictures and signatures, your babies are all so sweet, and you all seem to be so kind. I've been on the "other" site, and it's nice that new people can say things here before they really understand about breeding and showing, etc. and be educated instead of flamed for their lack of knowledge.
I hope you all had a great holiday, and I look forward to a continueing education and a lot of smiles from reading all your posts.
