Looking for advice ….. I purchased my beautiful Abby, a 7 year old Maltese, from a breeder who was retiring her. 3 months after I got Abby her feet turned reddish brown (much more prominent when they are wet). I have tried wiping her feet with whitening shampoo once a day and have even tried wiping her feet with hydrogen peroxide but have not been able to get her feet white. I am hoping someone on this site has experience with this problem. Thanks in advance!

Welcome! Often reddish paws are because the dog licks excessively and that is food or allergy related. Using peroxide or whitening shampoos that often only dries out the hair and skin, so please don't do that.

What is she getting for food? What does her blood work show? Believe it or not, chicken, which is one of the most common dog food ingredients, is also one of the most common foods to trigger allergies or sensitivities in dogs. Turkey, rabbit, fish or other lesser used proteins are a better choice.
