Hi, everybody. Since young, i'd yearned for a dog but never got an opportunity as my mum could hardly cope with all of us, let alone a furkid.
6 months ago, my husband and i decided to take the big step to commit ourselves to be owned by a furbaby. After much reading and researching, we brought home a 5 month-old maltese who has been our bundle of joys since and there's no regret at all.
Glad to finally find a maltese only forum, am looking forward to learn more about this special breed....BTW i'm from Malaysia but residing in Singapore at this moment.

Hi there,

Welcome to SM! I'm new here myself and just brought home a 4 mth old maltese today. Like you, I've spent months researching before getting a furkid. Hubby and I have been discussing on and off for 3 years about getting a dog )

I'm in Malaysia... we're practically neighbours!

I have a lil' girl named Susie. She's a darling. Hubby instantly fell in love with her too! We are going to spoil her silly
She was whining during her first night home but we ignored her and after a while, she was quiet. Then I went in and praised her... and she happily slept through the night. Phew, the books I read on puppy training did pay off.

Now, all I have to do is potty train her. She was paper trained by the breeder but I'm trying to get her to go in a designated area on a wee wee pad. Wish us luck!

Hi everybody! (Collette, Alyn, Ali Muffleluv)
I have a little boy named Star, he just turned one on 1/11/2003 and i held a birthday party for him in a park. He enjoyed himself a lot and we've just found out that he loved to play with dogs much, much bigger than his size (Golden Retriever and Old English Sheepdog).
It is so wonderful and surprising that this little boy has so much energy and love. Since he joined our family he has bring us much joy and happiness...... :D :D :D
Greetings to my neighbour, alyn

muffie : We were inspired by lil' Susie from Calvin & Hobbes. She's small, cute, round and cuddly.

jasmine : How nice... celebrating Star's bday. Can't wait for Susie's turn
I grew up around dogs in my family home and waited 3 years before getting a furkid of my own. Hubby and I were concerned about having a doggy in an apartment but a malty is perfect.

It's lovely having a few maltese they are like a little family and when the run around my garden they all stick together.

when I sit on the sofa they are like little hot waterbottle's and give me little kisses now and then.

and boy do they keep me busy! bathing, drying, combing, bathing, drying, combing !

But do you know I would never be without them!!!!
