Does anyone have any recipes for a good Maltese diet?
I have heard - boiled chicken, rice and some veggies and then adding (pet-tab) suppliments or make your own?
Anyone? Thanks so much!!

I have heard others talk about it , just haven't done it. Also have heard of feeding BARF which is a raw diet. I would stay away from BARF because these little dogs can really get sick and have problems.

I cook chicken in plain water with nothing added skin ad all add some carrots cause mine are toothless to give as treats as they love it

and that should last a few days

I add that with some rice at times to their dry seniour dog food they absolutely love it and wil eat everything no problems

better than adding canned soft food but I do that too sometimes when I don't cook and to vary a bit they love that too

there are a bunch of really good books out there. well, i found 3.

Home-Prepared Dog & Cat Diets: the Healthful Alternative by Donald R. Strombeck

that one is the best. it gives recipes and stuff. and besides giving a vitamin, you have to give bonemeal. and you can feed rice, macaroni, speghetti. carrots, peas, apples, blueberries---there a bunch of things you can feed. good luck!!
