I am going to a toy dog show at the end of August. This will be my first & i am really looking forward to it.
I was meant to go to one in June but i could not make it
& i am meeting one of the show breeders there to see her dogs & pups. I'm sorry i missed the June one cause her male pup won best pup & hope she wins this time too. I'd love to get a show pup from her in the near future.[/B]

That would be 4
..
I just want one more.. You are such a lucky girl..

Dog shows are a great place to see this beautiful breed in all it's glory.
I have exhibited in many dog shows over many years, but I have to say
that to me the most fun was watching a little maltese, well groomed and
in full coat performing in obedience. She was just darling! I often wonder
how she is or if she is still around. Her mama was crazy about her.

Not all AKC dog shows have obedience, but many do. Be sure to check
and see if a maltese is in obedience next time you check out a show. You
won't be sorry.

I go to Crufts most years. You get the lot - beauty, obedience, agility, fly-ball, child-handlers and so much more. You do need to take a great wadge of cash and quite a few credit cards though.

My big ambition is to see the Westminster - one day - who knows

I absolutely love dog shows, expecially when I have one competing. The ultimate for me was sitting ringside when my Westie took breed at Westminister. He did it the next year also, but I had to hear that by phone. I once drove all night in my motorhome to watch him win at the National Specialty. Unfortunately, I never saw any of his Best in Show wins. My Westie friends can't understand why I don't want to breed my champion female to him. They just don't know how addicted I am to Maltese.

I love dog shows! They are so much fun to attend and watching all the little beauties strutting around is just awesome. And just an FYI to everyone.. the AMA Speciality is going to be in Phoenix this year! I'm so psyched.. finally something good is going to happen here.

We go to every dog show in the area and have had a ball at them. There's not a lot of Malts at the smaller shows, but there are at the bigger shows. So so pretty to watch. And most of the dog people are nice, friendly, helpful. We met a very nice IG breeder (my husband got an IG, Italian Greyhound, when he lived in Atlanta; he is now my dog) at one of the shows, kept seeing her, have become friends and she is now trying to find us an IG rescue, IG's need someone to run with and a 7 pound Malt is just not a runner! Go figure. And the vendors, I can find more neat doggy stuff...
