It has been soooo hot here the past few weeks that I worry about Bailey being in the heat for too long. He loves to go for walks everyday so I thought I would get him a little baby pool to cool him off after his walks. I just filled the bottom of the pool, not too deep, and I stepped into the pool to see what his reaction would be. He just watched me walk around for a few minutes and I knew he wasn't sure about this swimming pool thing.
So... I went into the house and brought out one of his balls and took it back into the pool with me. That did it, he couldn't stand it because I had his ball in the pool so... he jumped right in!
We played fetch in the pool for a long time and he had a blast!! Now, everytime he goes out in the yard, he walks over to the pool and just looks in it...then looks back at me. It is so cute because it seems as if he is asking me if he can get in!
We played in the pool 2 times yesterday and I am pretty sure this will become a regular "game" for us to play during the summer months!

Yep I know they love the water. I had one back home in Aust. for my little Malt x Shih Tzu and he too loved it. He would get in it and try to dig in the water, it was so funny to watch, and he too had a ball and other toys in there to play with.

I need to get Paris one. When I take her for her daily walk she wants to lay down in any water that we come across. She is so funny sometimes!

Yes.. you have to get her one. I just know she will love it!
The funny thing is that Bailey is not a big fan of "bath time", but he just loves his pool! I think it's because it just feels so good to them on a hot day! Let us know when you get her one, how she likes it!

That's so cute!! About a year ago, we did the same thing ( we had an apartment with a big patio) but Miko would have nothing to do with it. He drank water out of it and even though we got in it (my husband and I), Miko just walked around us and would not allow me to put him in it

I been thinking about getting a baby pool for the gils. I know Maya does not like to around water- just watering the plants in the yard she runs inside th house and hides. I think Daezie would love to get wet :D

That is so funny!!!

Sometimes I do that with threads, too... I'll read it and not "get it" and then finally realize I've mis-read it!!

Ha-Ha
That is soooo funny!! I do that sometimes times myself!!
I'll read and then have to re-read to "get it".. I promise I will eventually get that picture of him in his pool. We have been soooo busy. We are having a huge 4th of July celebration at my home and my husband and I are doing some major yard work...(landscaping, finishing our pond, weeding out the flower beds...etc...) so everything will be perfect on the 4th. We are sitting up canopys in the yard, we have already bought new picnic tables, tables for food, huge amounts of fire works and now I have to get busy with the cooking. So... when the holiday is over... I will take that picture of Bailey playing in his pool. I might not be posting until after the 4th so... Have a safe and fun 4th everyone!!!!
