I found money today

I was out with my 2 young girls today strolling an outdoor shopping plaza. As soon as I exited one of the stores a $20 bill blew right to me and I stopped it with my foot cause it was windy. I looked around and the only people I saw were a couple of teenagers somewhat close. I had a feeling the money was not there's but I felt i needed to ask. Here's our conversation:
me: Hi is this your $20?
girl: ummmmm ya......ummmm it is(glancing at her friend)
me: are you sure?
She took the $20 out of my had and ran off. Right in front of the kids too:w00t:
I was in shock and it still annoys me.
This is when I explained karma which I truly believe in.

You learned a valuable lesson today. If the wind blows a $20 bill your way, it means it's yours :HistericalSmiley::HistericalSmiley:
Oh I would :smmadder:. You have to wonder how some kids are raised.
I guess the parents didn't teach them that good things come to good
people. I so believe in karma!!
most kids today are so disrespectful:angry: I'm sure they got a good laugh out of your kindness, what your kids witnessed speaks volumes, you were a great role model there.:aktion033:
Today I was a Walmart, I was in line to cash out, I had many things in my cart, two girls about 11 came up behind me and one girl said something negative about having to wait in line, the other girl laughed, I turned to them and told them to go ahead of me, they never once said thank you. Shame on their parents for not teaching good manners to them
Oh darn! That was my $20 too! It caught a northbound wind and was heading for Canada!

Paula, I had my 9 year old read your response and when she read the last line of your post she turned to me and said " Mom....that is so true !!! "

thats terrible, and yes some kids just dont have any manners or morals , its sad :(
:exploding:Sometimes I like dogs better than some kids!!

although if I dropped a piece of cheese.....Abbey would swear that it was hers all along... :w00t: :smilie_tischkante:
I just hate how rude people are getting... :( I'm so sorry you had that happen to you.. and in front of your kids... grrr They should've been more worried about setting a good example for the little ones that getting ahead $20!!

and not saying thank you when someone lets you in front of them is ridiculous... maybe they were all raised by very rude wolves...
That is terrible...shame on them. Sometimes it doesn't pay to be nice. Like you, I believe in karma.
Maybe an idea for next time:
"Hey, did you guys lose something? Money maybe? How much?
If they can't say how much then we know it doesn't have their name on it.
Isn't it wonderful when we see some people actually do teach manners still. It makes a huge statement to me.
hugs
Ughhh! Shame on them. I would have also asked them whose picture is on the bill. :HistericalSmiley::HistericalSmiley: That would have really stumped them. Little wise acres (I'm being kind using the word acres here. Substitute your own letters).

I was in a convenience store here with a lot of things and the boy behind me only had one item, so I told him to go in front of me. (he didn't say thank you either). They were all school age..around 12 or 13.

And that's when he started to let his 4 friends go in front of him. I said "Oh hayle no. I was being nice but you're taking advantage so to the back of the line with all of you". something like that (and in Mandarin too) and I kicked them all out of line and took back my place of next in line. LOL!

That little girl snatching the money out of your hand. wow. incredible nerve.
