Hi Everyone ,

Just wanted to let you know Chesley is getting spayed in the morning.
I have to drop her of at 8:00 gee I can't rember the last time Iwoke up at 6:30 am.
Well I got her all cleaned up and put out all her stuff so I don't forget anything in the morning. I'm trying my best not to think about it. Will they allow me to bring her stuffy and blanket.

She ate so much tonight before 8:00pm ,I'm wondering if she knows. She also had lots of water be fore 11:00 I'm sure I will have to get up to let her out tonight.
Anyway she had an other good day 8 hours no accidents

Well they will spay her and check her tear ducts , I also asked them to check if she has eyelashes growning in her eyes. I did forget to mention blood work, but I will tell them tomorrow when I go. I hope it's not to late. oh I also requested medication.

Wanted to say thanks to everyone the for the great informtion. At least I'm aware of what to expect. I don't think I will get much sleep tonight.
I will keep you posted.

Regular vets cannot always see lashes growing into the eyes. If she continues to have staining problems after teething is over, you will still need to see an ophthalmologist. Good luck today!

WOW, thank you everyone. I have tears in my eyes. Today was very hard for me. I just kept saying prays. I dropped her off at 8:00 with her blanket and her stuffy. They did tell me her blanket might get soled but I told them I don't mind, I would feel better knowing she has it with her. They told me to check back at 11:30am to see how things were going.

When I called back they had not started the procedure yet.
I was told they do not do blood work unless it is for heartworms. Maybe here they call it something else here in Canada? The Vet did say the do a wellness report but normally on older dogs.

They did do an examination before they started.
I spoke with the Vet and she told me they cannot check the eyelashes there, but she will flush the tear ducts first to see if that will help with the tear staining. The vet said if there is an issue later we can see the specialist.

I called back again at 5:00 and the Dr. told me she said "mommy on the phone" and Chelsey was waging her tail...
That made me feel so much better knowing she was ok. I'm glad I had enough work and meetings today to occupy my mind while this was happening. I pick her up tomorrow morning at 9:15 am. When we came home poor Chester was just running around the house looking for her. He is so sad without his sister. I can't wait until she is back; this was her first night away from home.

My husband is down stairs spoiling Chester as I’m typing .

We have her bed ready for tomorrow for when she comes home. She will be sleeping up stairs with us in her own bed until she is better so we can keep an eye on her.
Thank you all again. This is such a wonderful support system.

P.s is there anything I should do, or not do tomorrow when I bring her home?

Glad she's doing well!!! I guess you should keep her from being too active, and maybe let her be away from Chester if they tend to play rough together. Have a great morning with Chelsey tomorrow!!
Give her a big kiss from Peanut

This is a picture of chelsey when I brought her home

Picture of her stiches:

This is her in her new pj's : The Vet said we can take of her cone off ,if she wares someting long enough to cover her stiches so she can't get to it.

The Vet said she did so well and one of the assistance was walking around with her all morning. When I brought her home she went potty and up in to bed. She has been playing wih her toys all morning in her bed... It was so hard to keep her still you would never think she just had surgery. The Vet said she was doing so well they did not send her home with medication. I did ask if the anisticia has worn of and she said yes and she is doing really good without the medication. She said if she does have any pain then i can just come back and pick it up. ( I'm ok with that as they are only 10 min down the road. Chelsey is sleeping now , while i'm working .
chester is down stairs sleeping in his bed too he was very happy to see her, but they will be seporated until she has has her stiches removed .
