Hi all, I have been over on MO and thought I would let everyone know that Jennifer Siliski has been found guilty on 11 of the 30 counts. That is all that is posted right now.

I agree with you Joe. I myself think this woman should never be allowed around another animal ever again. But she will be. I am sure she will be up and running another puppy mill as soon as she can, if she isn't already. I almost went to her place last year to see her puppies, but found my breeder in Pittsburgh and decided to get Lacey from her. I am just thankful that Lacey came from a wonderful woman.
Will keep you posted when something else is known.
Let's keep are finger crossed that the maltese dogs and puppies are not returned to her, but all go to loving homes.

I am anxiously awaiting the 10:00 news here to see what is said.
I too agree that they did not count high enough. 11 is so few...I am disappointed.

I was sure the jury had to find her guilty of something. The evidence and testimony presented was just way to overwhelming. I just wish they could have done better than 11. I am sure when all this passes...she will have animals again and be back to the same old crap!

May the Lord abundantly bless the next group of pups/dogs/cats in her care.

At least the trial is over.

But really, after all of this, would anyone want to adopt a pet from her AND for the price she wants? I live in TN and even if I didn't have a Maltese, I'd still know her name by heart. Her reputation is ruined and I'm glad for it! It's so sad. Lately I've been hearing so much cruelty against dogs this past year, it is so disgusting! Sometimes people can just SUCK so bad! But if anything good comes out of this, it's awareness.

The real problem is the lack of regulation. This woman or a family member will go back into business ASAP under a new name; People looking for a pet will not know what she has done because any searches under her new name will come up with nothing! They will adopt a baby from her without knowing what she has done.

I just replied to someone on MO that asked basically the same thing. In my opinion, this finding is not going to end up being punishment enough to keep her from doing it again. 27000 is nothing to her if she can get back to breeding. Her reputation may be ruined in her immediate area, and among knowledeable (sp?) current Malt owners...but in the future, unless the purchaser does his/her research extensively-they will probably never know about this case. All she would have to do is move to another state and assume yet another identity, and she would be back in business in no time at all. The next time it may not be malts. She may pick some other breed to help with her cover. Just my opinion.

I pray this is not the case.

PS-What part of Tennessee do you live in? I live in Northwest Tennessee...in Carroll County.

GOSH that woman should be in jail! I mean it wasnt just one or two hungry dogs, it was HUNDREDS of mutilated and neglected dogs! Im just so sad..... what I'd like to do to that judge......... what I'd like to do to that "female dog" (and I mean Jennifer when I say that).....

I believe in an eye for an eye, we should lock her up and starve her stupid butt and let her intestines come out of her body! OOOOOOOOOH Im so mad!

I live close to Nashville. Not far from Franklin. Ya'll want me to go egg her place and spray paint "animal abuser" on her driveway!?!?! AHAHAHA jk jk jk jk

Anyway, this isnt over yet. They're going to decide sometime in Sept. if she gets any of them back which is scary, AND she might face jail time. Let's hope karma works soon!

I think she should be in jail too.

I was so hesitant about even going to look at the breeder I got Casper from in Nashville. But, I went and I was so releived she wasn't a puppy mill!

that totally sucks. i already hate her. what bothers me too....is that she changes her name. so if someone was buying from her---she might've changed her name, you know?

i feel really bad for the foster parents and for all those dogs who died and were given viagra.
