A couple of us were going to visit a relative in Las Vegas. Word got out and now I believe 7 additional adults and teenagers and one infant may be coming! While it could be a lot of fun, my relative only has 1-1/2 spare rooms and he has never lived in a hippy crash pad before :HistericalSmiley:

So if anyone has suggestions of some nice but moderate priced places to stay, it would be apprieciated!

I always stay at the JW Marriot in Summerlin - away from the strip! I'm boring - what can I say - I'd rather golf, take a bubble bath and read -gambling - is not my thing.

PM me with your relative's address/part of town he's in, what price point you considerate moderate, and when you plan to visit. BTW, bringing any fluffs? I'll point you in the right direction.

Oh, thanks! :) Maybe I can PM you tomorrow--it's getting more complicated--:smilie_tischkante:

I liked the quieter resort idea for myself, others want some of the glitz (read casinos)
I don't think any dogs will be staying at a hotel. :)

I think you would get the most bang for your buck if you stayed on the Strip... as long as you're not travelling over a holiday, there are some GREAT deals to be had!!! Go to vegasdotcom and check some out! Have fun!!!

We have stayed in the Tropicana
in June and again in Sept.
It has a nice pool. I know it is old but they are remolding. We have stayed in very nice rooms and since we saved a lot of money we were able to go to some shows.
Have fun!

Just bumping in. Nice to see you, Deborah!!:chili:

And yup, mine are all shaved ~ :HistericalSmiley:

Oh, back to topic, I go to Vegas, for work, all the time, and love the Golden Nugget. The "Street Fair" is awesome, and right out the door.

Several other people have said they stay at the Golden Nugget. :)

I may claim rights to at least the 1/2 room and let everybody else hassle or haggle it out. I was one of the first to be invited, so I should get priority, right? ;)

Golden Nugget is nice, but it's downtown (far from the Strip)... if you want to walk around staying on teh Strip is better. That site I gave the link for above showed Flamingo at $70...not bad. Paris was a good price too plus came with googies (2 for 1 buffets, etc)

Unless it's this coming week...NFR is coming to town. Now if your looking to meet up with a real cowboy...
