...As many of you know, several of our wonderful SM Members sent a special surprise box all the way across the U.S. to London & Preston...Today their special box arrived!London & Preston got their very own car seat to keep them safe on our trips (long and short). We are going to try and purchase another one fairly soon so they can both be safe when we take them for a ride at the same time. The car seat is perfect for Maltese, and is so sturdy. The microfiber cover is removable to wash which is great, and the padded cushion can be removed if you want them to sit deeper in the seat. It's perfect!

A very special THANK YOU to:

Hunter, Archie, Abbey, Ava & Tink, Emma & Benny, Lois, Lucy, Caddy, Caira & Emma, and Mia & Leo
...and their amazing Mommies!!!

You are all so special, kind & generous. I hope you all enjoy the photos!
XOXO,
Lisa, London & Preston

oh what great pics!!!

Hunter is the one who deserves most of the thanks - his mommy is the one who organized the whole thing!!
Glad you got it! Yes, Erin did the hard part, she deserves the credit....

Of course Archie got together with Hunter to discuss this over a cool bowl of water in France......just before flying back after rescuing the girls.... - yes, that's how this all got started.....:HistericalSmiley:
WOW! What a thoughtfu gift! I'm sure they will both enjoy their new rides.
That's so sweet of everyone  Love the pics and I'm sure that London and Preston will enjoy their car seat!
Wasn't that sweet. Aren't SM friends just the best. I have 2 of these car seats (one for each girl) and they fit perfectly side by side in the back seat of my car. The girls love them as they can look out. But the seats are so roomy that both girls could easily fit in one and often try to. LOL

Erin was the one that turned me on to these seats. I love them and know that London and Preston will too. :)

And it makes me happy to know that the girls are safe when we're out and about. :)
Wow that looks really nice! Where are these seats from, like do they have a website???

Does it have a thing that the harness can attach to the booster seat? Nelson might really like one of those!
What a wonderful present from all those wonderful fluffs and moms. :chili::chili: Preston and London are so lucky. They'll have to take turns until you get a second one.

You girls are too sweet - the gift itself would not have been possible without everyone's help; including Archie & Hunter making the trans-atlantic trip to work out the details!

Hunter and I are so happy that L&P enjoyed receiving their gift and are looking forward to using it. It was so hard to wait for its arrival - but the wait was worth those adorable pictures! L&P look fantastic! If you have any questions or its not the right color please don't hesitate to let me know (oh and if the wrinkles in the front bother you; you can steam them out with an iron - I'm a little type A when it comes to wrinkles :)).

Here's to some safe traveling IN STYLE for L&P!!!

xoxo
Hunter

PS. the carseat is from overstock.com and its a size medium
Oh Lisa, so happy for you. Yup, it was that big hearted Erin and Hunter that got the ball rolling and did all the research.

Special love and hugs to you, London and Preston!!!

I'm pretty sure Crystal sells those at her store (Pampered Pets Boutique). She ran a special not too long ago and I would have loved to buy the double for my boys but I already have a double (and single) carseat and just could not justify buying another. I don't like the material of the one we have...I would much prefer the microfiber.

Lisa, I'm happy for you! You, Preston & London are deserving of this sweet gift.

Erin....you did a great job of organizing!!
How very, very sweet of everyone!!! London and Preston look adorable in their new seat!
what a wonderful gift from all those babies and their moms!!:wub:
great pics!!
For those wondering what car seat it is, etc, here is the link to Overstock.com: Pet Gear Medium Booster Car Seat (Interior Measures 10" x 14" ) | Overstock.com

It is size Medium, Charcoal color, and it does come with 1 tether to hook to their harness. Overstock has the best price with shipping that I've found and I have been looking at them for a YEAR now. LOL I preferred the charcoal color (Erin, you are so awesome to have picked out the right color! :aktion033:) because I figured it would stay a little cooler than the black. The tan is also nice, but one of our cars interior is black and the other car has grey...and I like to match.

The cover is removeable & can be hand washed, although I had an idea of spraying ScotchGuard on it and that should make anything wipe off even more easily. There is a little cushion in it that also has a removeable cover, and you can take the cushion out if you want them to sit "deeper" in the seat or add your own blankets, etc.

My two weigh approximately 6.5lbs each and they are the perfect size for them to sit or lay in without having extra room to roll around. I once pondered (months ago) whether the medium or large would be better for each dog, and decided the medium is best because they are designed to keep them secure, not to lounge around & stretch out in. If you have a pup that is 10+lbs I would probably get the large. The large also comes with 2 tethers if you have two smaller pups and want them to share. I still think it's safer for each to have their own...and there are no fights about who gets to sit where. lol :) The seat sits up high enough so they can see out of the window if they want (I think anyway...I haven't put it in the car yet, but it is a very tall seat).

One of the pups will get to try out their new car seat either today or Monday! :chili:

Preston is due for his regular vaccinations and I also need to take London in for Bordatella because in a few weeks they will be starting their first obedience training class. I choose not to vaccinate them on Bordatella unless they are going to be in a public environment like a grooming salon, dog classes, etc. Maybe one of the dogs can ride in it on the way over, and the other can ride in it on the way back! :) Don't worry, the "loose" one will be crated. ;)

I'll let you know how they like their car seat! Inside they love it...during picture time they didn't want to get out of it. LOL
