We love our new baby. We had a maltese for 17 years and lost her early 2022 and finally decided to get another maltese. He is perfection. We brought him home and he is so happy and so beautiful. The breeder worked with us and was very informative with all the useful info she gave us and we could not be happier. Nicholas is pure perfection.

So happy! Enjoy and congratulations! for A Lifetime of Love! Send some photos!
OMG that is the cutest little guy!! He is as close to a perfect maltese as you can get! I have 2 babies and I know a full maltese when I see one. Enjoy your beautiful new boy!! :)
Thanks so much to all who replied! And yes, I dont want to brag (haha) but he is the most perfect little maltese I have ever seen we are just so happy!!
I would love to know what state you are in and the name or breeder info...this thread is to enlighten and recommend good breeders I assume. :)

I am new to the site and is it ok to post breeders on here/their names and such? I dont want to break the rules. If it is ok to post then I will text my breeder and make sure she is ok that I put her info on here. :) Thanks jackieG
Cute puppy. Hopefully the breeder is the type of breeder that this forum generally recommends. The moderators could tell you more.
I really do not understand what you mean? "type of breeder that this forum recommends" ??? So someone / anyone who has had a good experience and has a beautiful pure maltese cannot recommend "their breeder" if you all do not agree with that? Hmm...I simply do not understand .... I have always had Maltese for my choice of pet and this particular Maltese is the most perfect one. I have read this board and have looked at lots of pics and I can see (dont mean this to be mean) but I can see in a LOT of pics that the maltese that some have, while they are all beautiful, they are not pure maltese I can see it in their body shapes and features. They are still beautiful though but they are not pure maltese. So the breeders of those I hope were not recommended too highly. Anyhow I just wanted to share my pleasure and joy at finding THE PERFECT maltese and a breeder who really knows what they are doing!!! :)

Well, you have just joined Spoiled Maltese, and your puppy's picture is cute. But most of the posts over the course of SM's history recommend that the best way to make sure you get a puppy who will be as beautiful, sound, healthy and have a good temperament as possible is to buy from a breeder who shows their dogs, has Champions as parents of their puppies, is a member of the American Maltese Association and abides by the AMA ethical standards.

Yes, people have joined SM after they have gotten a dog that may not be purebred. If they are rescued dogs, we likely will be more generous, and we don't want to beat up on someone who has fallen in love with their dog. We want them to take care of the dogs that they have. But sometimes we call out people for buying from a backyard breeder, puppymill, or pet shop, because we want to support the betterment of the Maltese breed.

It's ironic, but there are so many mixes out there that the people that found and advertised my latest rescue advertised her as a "multipoo" or mixed breed. I was afraid that may have prevented her owners from reclaiming her from the public shelter. She was a sweet and pretty little thing, but we soon found she was full of cancer. I have her ashes in a pretty box in case a loving owner figures out where she went and wants some assurance she was cared for.

I am dreaming of having a beautiful little Maltese again someday, but if I buy, rather than rescue, I'll go through the kind of breeder that meets the standards of the AMA and comes from a show breeder with Champion parentage.

My pups pic is not only cute it is epic! Perfect Maltese markings, nose, mouth, eyes, pads and tail ..... I hope you get your dream fulfilled someday and get a beautiful Maltese. I see a lot of dogs (from reading this site) that claim to be from a breeder as you stated and they are not. You just have to do your homework and shop around and you will know a real malty when you see him/her. Good luck on your search. :) And by the way you just sound so definite and judgy and I dont care for that. Just saying. Also I looked at your photos and while all the dogs are beautiful (I ADORE ALL DOGS) The pics of your maltese are not full maltese breed as I am an expert. Again, not a slam or a judgement just what I see. I lucked out in my search. My breeder is top notch. I am so lucky.
Just curious to know who the Breeder was that you got your little one?? I believe that someone else asked that same question a couple of posts ago. Please let us know how you determined by just looking at a some pictures, that MSS's Malt is not a "full" Maltese?
All my 30 to 40 dogs have been rescue or pre-owned dogs except one, who had a 5 generation pedigree but not a great one and he had a lot of health issues which I would not wish on anyone and would not want to advertise. I have pictures up of dogs I never claimed were Maltese, like a 40 pound black dog. Lol

I just wanted to share my beautiful new pup. He is perfect and I just wanted to share. Not much more to say.

What Breeder is he from? How old is he ? He is soooo adorable. We lost our 14 year old little girl last year. Miss her terribly. Now looking for a new little girl
Thank you.
I was a certified maltese breeder our years abroad having certified & got my afix in Austria. I have personally owned maltese since the early 70s. I do not pretend to know by looking at someone's photo if a dog is "perfect" or less perfect. Why do you consider yourself an expert to judge? It is an honest question. Please be cautious in making critical statements! Your pup is cute for sure---but I would not be able to say "he is perfect" by looking at his photos.

MSS is a long standing & knowledgeable member of SM---Your statement sounds "definite & judgy" in my opinion & some of your remarks are less than tasteful. I do hope you will continue to stick around & share your "knowledge" w/us as we can never outgrow "learning." The AMA sets the standard on maltese for breeding & are "top-dog" in judgements. We base our opinions on what is considered "standard."

Congratulation! We just brought home our precious little guy, Jasper, three weeks ago. Never had a boy or a Maltese before (always had Yorkies) but Jasper has won my heart!

Congrats on Nicholas! We just brought Jasper home 3 weeks ago and he has won our hearts forever! I have always had female Yorkies so this is a new experience. He is a sweetheart and learning very quickly the rules of the house! 🐾🐾❤
