This is my grand-dog Max. He is a Cava-Ma-Poo.. he is a complete disaster, but we love him. Just read all of your advice about tear staining. His is terrible, the Crusting is awful I scrub every night and its not helping. he is 1 years old.. I will try the spring water and call the Vet..

He could have an allergy to chicken. When I took Bardie off of chicken his staining got much better. Pretty quickly too! You have to really read the labels though. They sneak chicken into many products that are labeled beef or fish.

Check the ingredients in the food you are feeding him. I know that foods that contain "beet" can cause staining. Also, have the vet check for any infection in mouth and ears.

I give my Maltese only filtered water. It has helped with tear staining. I bathe his crusted eyes gently with a soft cloth soaked in warm water.

How beautiful he is!
And those black spots near his eyes are really something!)
I wanted one too, but my girlfriend is allergic to dogs, so I had to get a cat!!!
It really hurt my feelings about it)
