Elizabeth I am so glad your little one is doing better. Mr Tucker is still laying around this morning. He did eat and drink but wants to be left alone. He's just laying in his bed looking all sad eyed.

I hope by this evening he will be up and going more.

Aww it's ok. He wasn't supposed to eat a lot last night so it seems like everything is going ok with Tucker. Aidan was super charged up when he got home, and he was trying to take his cone off but then when he realized it wasn't coming off he just went to sleep. I can't wait until these two weeks are over and he can start being a normal pup again. He doesn't have a bowl of water, we use the water bottle and everytime he goes to get some water he accidentally shuts the cage with his cone, or when he's running out of my room he aways hit's his head somewhere....poor little guy. I hope your little Tucker gets up to play today. Keep us posted!!!

Oh I feel for you too...Harley's spay is Wednesday and I'm a wreck!! But... you've gotten the "it went well" call from the vet, so it will get easier from here

Nikki is getting spayed on Thursday. I'm so nervous about it! I'm trying not to think about it. I can't wait for it to be over with. When I called a couple of weeks ago to make the apointment it took me about 15 min to get up the courage to call.

Me too! I cried after I called because the call made it real....I'm such a baby!! Does Nikki have to spend the night at the vet? Harley does, and I'm worrried about Bellas reaction, Harleys her best friend all of a sudden and Bella's going to wonder what I did with her.

Ok so my flexible little guy can get to his area....I mean it's a hassle for him but he can get around that area so I have to go tomorrow to get his little cone measured again so he can't do that to himself...Gosh I can't wait til it's OVER!

Isn't it amazing how resourceful they are when it comes to doing the things we don't want them to do.
Scooby never bothered about his stitches at all, I think we were very lucky that way

I sure hope all the little ones going in for their surgeries have an easy time and a very speedy recovery

I hope everyone is having good luck with their dogs. Tucker finally snapped out of it last night. He is a wound up ball of fire now. He is eating like a little trooper now.

I don't want to go through that again. At least he is all better now.

Yay, that's wonderful that your Tucker is doing better! I had to get Aidan a new e-collar because he could get to his stitches but this one isn't much better. We can't find one that is not too tight but not too lose around his neck, that goes beyond his nose. But the good thing is that it's not comfortable enough for him to bite or pull on the stitches, he can just get to licking around that area...so we just watch him a little more closely now.

Glad everyone is getting over this

Have you tried the baby onsies for Aiden? Thats all I used for Phoebe and we had no problem at all, except brushing her hair alot. It was pretty long.

Its a quick fix in a pinch. You'll have to be creative in maybe tying it around his waist so he can still potty, or if you take him outside, then just undo it when its time to go out. Good luck!

I am so happy to hear Tucker's is over and hes doing fine!

Ugh, I'm getting so incredibly sick of these darn stitches. My baby hasn't taken a bath in about 2 weeks....and he's used to at least once a week. He's getting really stinky and his face is bright red from all the tear staining. I hate it, I hate it, I hate it. We've been taking his stupid "Elizabethan Collar" off, ugh makes me hate my name that those things are named after that era. The matting from that thing is horrible tooo...around his neck it looks like he's been sweating for days and the poor thing doesn't even have sweat glands on his neck!!! Ugh, I just wanted to rant. IT's been 10 days but they didn't have any appointments around this time so we're going to take the sutures out on the 15th day and I'm getting really impatient. I hope everyone else's babies are doing good, not that mine isn't, I guess I'm just an impatient mommy when it comes to not liking the situation he's in.

I am so pleased all babies are doing well

Scooby had the "super glue" method and we had absolutely no problems with him at all.
I was also going to suggest the onesies for Aiden as an alternative to the collar but if it is two weeks since his surgery I would check with your vet and ask when you are able to bath him. He should be close to having the stiches removed at this point and a bath may be permitted

I'm glad he is doing well and I totally know what you mean about wanting those darn stitches to be out!!

Can you try to take the E-Collar off and see if he messes with the stitiches. They may not seem new to him now and maybe he'll leave them alone. Also, try washing just his face. I do that all the time. The thing about no baths, is that you don't want the stitches to get wet, but it's OK to do a little mini wash up.

I use Proline no-rinse shampoo on K & C between baths and it works great and makes them seem fresh. I also spray some Ice on Ice or Pantene conditioner on and brush and then spray some Bless the Beasts scent on them and they seem soooo much fresher! Maybe some of those things will work for you until you get the stitches out.
