Molly has been having problems with her third eyelid showing and we have been to the vet twice already about this problem and it hasn't cleared up with the terramycin antibiotic ointment. We also had her senior bloodwork done and everything came back fine. I talked to the vet yesterday about Molly's eye still not clearing up and she's not eating very well. Well last night she didn't touch her dinner and today she didn't touch her breakfast and she just keeps to herself. I take Molly back to vet first thing Monday morning to get her eye rechecked and to get more extensive bloodwork done. Are there any particular things i should ask them to look for? My husband is at the store getting her some sardines to see if i can tempt her to eat more. Clearly my little girl isn't feeling herself. I'm just wondering if she could possibly still be grieving for her BFF Gus? It just breaks my heart to see her like this and hopefully we can find out what it is so we can get her better. I did contact an eye specialist and they only come to Pensacola the 3rd Friday and Saturday of each month, unfortunately we don't have one in our area, but they will see Molly when they are in Pensacola in February. Could you please keep Molly in your prayers? The end of last year and the beginning of this year has been an awful time for our family, i just hope it gets better.

Debbie, I'm so sorry Molly is still having issues with her eyes. I hope that when you go back to your vet on Monday, they have answers for you and are able to figure out why Molly isn't responding to meds. I can't speak from experience, but I think it's very possible she is still grieving for Gus. How old is Molly? Her and Gus were together for many years, right? It's only been a couple of weeks so she is still probably wondering where he is. Give her lots of love and attention, as I'm sure you're doing, and definitely take her to the eye specialist in February...but I'm hoping she feels better before then.

What food is Molly on currently? As you know, my cat Isaiah has been sick for many months and would not eat anything...to entice him, I tried everything under the sun. A few things that worked were (some of the time): Weruva Pawlickin' Chicken, TOTW, Tiki (they have a few tuna varieties you could try, and also plain old canned tuna.

I hope Molly gets better soon and that this year brings lots of joy and happiness for your family (you deserve nothing less, after the past couple of months you have had).

I'm sorry about Molly, I hope the specialist can help and the other bloodtests. My cat loves plain dried chicken breast treats and will circle like a shark for those.

I meant to say that I'll be praying for her.

Deb -- so sorry that Molly is still having eye problems. Yes -- as far as the appetite, it could well be from grief. Of course, this would not have anything to do with the eye issues.

Sending lots of prayers your way. You're such a great mom to all of your babies.
