My girls have never known life w/out a maltese. . . or 2. Here is an early photo of my 3 ---all girls. . . Lina (our youngest) was about 6 & Karin was about 7 1/2. I am not sure how old our pup was????? but probably about 2 or 3. It had to be Wimpy whom we brought from the US in 1974--- as we had not yet lived in the UK. I can not imagine life w/out a maltese! Eventually when we moved for the 2nd time back to Vienna I got my Austrian Afix to be an official breeder having shown some in the UK as a member of the UK maltese kennel club. I hated showing---just not my thing but I did it to keep current w/the maltese scene. I have known both good & bad breeders over the years in different countries---but I have never encountered a bad dog!
We are in the process of down sizing & I do believe Kitzi & Lisi will be our last pups but we may foster if we remain healthy.

Hej do! Thank you for your sweet comments---always appreciated! This is an about 40 + year old computer print out from our bank after we moved to Germany having lived about 5 yrs. in Austria the first time (we lived there 3 times in total). Yes, different countries sure are different when it comes to Maltese---the European breed is "classic" and a bit larger in terms of standard---esp. in Eastern Europe. The UK is very classic in terms of looks. In those days it was almost impossible to acquire a maltese w/out being part of an official kennel club. I do believe the look of the maltese is changing, albeit slowly. I have been privileged to learn so much from so many in different countries and still have a few contacts around the world even if I was not very good at showing & did not like it. These little dogs are very bonding!

Dee, I am in the DC area for a month w/our oldest & grandson. Our youngest will come here for Christmas w/her family but I will get back in touch w/you soon! I think of little Cody so often & pray that God will give you wisdom in his care. He is so lucky to have you!
Thank you Patricia---hoping all is well w/our little girl. She is beautiful! Being a young mom is such a joy & requires so much energy. I am glad she & Luna are pals.

SM has lost lots of pups this year---they are all getting older. My heart goes out to these families. Some of our families have moved over to FB & some have just faded. Wherever I am if I see a maltese & its' person I wander over & put in a little plug for SM. Our lives are so enriched by these little creatures.

Sandi, so adorable. It would be hard to imagine you without a Maltese.
