oh no that must have hurt! Glad she is ok, poor thing goes to have fun and that happen's
I hope she still wants to attend after this. Poor little thing
Gosh, that could have really injured her. You've had lots of close calls! I think it might help mitigate these situations to think what is the worst that could happen and then think ahead what you can do to prevent it before it happens. Malts really can be high maintenance in that regard but they are so little and fragile that we just have to be very careful with them. Hoping for only good things for Vanilla from now on!
I agree with Sher. In a few short months poor Vanilla has collapsed from heat stroke, gotten into chocolate (twice) and chewing gum, been mauled by a two year old and now hit by a soccer ball! Even if she has nine lives like a cat, her luck is eventually going to run out!Gosh, that could have really injured her. You've had lots of close calls! wow, that's a lot for a young pup to go through!! Be careful from now on - you don't want Vanilla to associate going out with you with pain. If you 'need' to keep taking her, I would invest in a stroller like someone mentioned, where she can still be out and about but is protected from the kids messing with her, soccer balls and 2 year old ear pullers of the world.I agree with Sher. I took her in to the vet this morning to get her weighed because she was 12 pounds and should be around the 9-10 range. She's 10.5 pounds. I've limited treats and she's been on Grandma Lucy's.
The vet came out to say hello and I mentioned the soccer ball thing. He thorougly looked her over and she is perfectly fine. She is acting her normal bouncy self , thank goodness.
Thank you all for your concern
