Zoey is my first little Maltese baby, I absolutely adore her. She is everything to me. She is healthy, eats right and gets plenty of exercise. We live in the city and she is my running partner and easily runs 2-4 miles a day with me. However, I notice that she has been burping a lot more than usual,(sometimes stinky burps too) especially after she gets a little piece of whatever I may be eating i.e apple (usually a piece of fruit) paleo toast, etc. I am a vegetarian/vegan who follows a paleo lifestyle so she does not get any, grains, wheat, sugar or unnatural ingredients. She is not a vegetarian. However, she does eat clean, mostly Stella & Chewy freeze-dried Chicken, and she only eats glutenfree and grain free food and snacks. My point in pointing that out is I am wondering is it possible for her to have acid reflux, not allergies? Have any of you ever experienced this with your little furbaby? I await to hear your comments and suggestions as they have always been so helpful since I joined this site. Thank you. Peace, Sandra... Zoey's mom.

Your baby is adorable! And yes, it is possible for her to have reflux, "leaky gut," or some other digestive issue. You might try a home remedy first; Animal Essentials has a product called Daily Digestion which is a holistic remedy to help calm tummies. You might also think about seeing a holistic vet for help with this.
