Hi, I am new to this forum. I will be getting my first Maltese on April 15. She will be almost 12 weeks old when I get her. I have a couple of questions.

1) I was wondering if someone could tell me were I can get nice, not to expensive dog bows?
2) For those of you that dress up your Maltese where do you by the clothes at?
3) I am having a hard time coming up with some names for her. Any ideas?

Thanks for your help!

http://www.petsmart.com/ps/main.jsp, or http://www.jbpet.com/, or http://www.petco.com/

My wife go Noah's stuff at PetSmart, Petco, and there are some neat places on the web. Just google dog clothes and you'll get a zillion hits. We also have a Teddy bear store around us and we bought him some teddy bear clothes that fit.

We were kind of going with a theme when we named Noah because we have another dog named Moses. Just wait and see how her personality is.

Congrats on waiting for 12-weeks. Its very important not to bring your pup home too early.

Good luck. Post some pics when you bring her home.

http://www.alwaysfancy.com is one sight for bows and accessories I also purchase sweaters, coats, hats at Petco, check your local shops and do a search on line, lots of great places. I also purchase alot of bows at http://www.petedge.com when you buy from them, you are buying in large quantities as they deal with mostly Pet stores and Groomers, but for me, I like it cuz between myself, my brothers & sisters and my parents, we all have small toy dogs so I share alot and the prices are nice enough you can afford to.

Don't know about the outfits/bows, my husband would just die if I put anything like that on Tiki
. Actually Tiki won't put up with it :D .

I agree that a dog name is hard, but when you have her at home a name may just come to you.

Her are some sites to give you ideas:

Thank you so much for your help!

Maxismom: Lexi is one of the names that was on my list, along with Bella, Jasmine (Jazzi for short), Maggie, Nikki, and Paris (I went to Europe with my mom last summer).

I found some cute t-shirts at PetSmart and PetCo. Now I just have to wait until I get my puppy to find out if she will even let me put them on her.

That is the hard part. I still have 17 days to go!
