Welcome!:dothewave:

In my opinion, get a girl! They are more fun. Plus they don't lift their legs to pee and mark territory lol

Malteses are the best furbabies and they are just so precious. They require more grooming and time then other breeds but its so worth it and they are so much cuter anyway! Good luck with your new furbaby and be sure to post pictures!:chili:

Welcome! You mentioned lots of terrific breeders, but like Stacy said, you'll really enjoy going to a show and meeting local breeders first hand too!!!!

Sounds like you're leaning toward a girl if you want to dress her up. I've got two girls now and they are so much fun. And the boys are such mommy's boys, they are so sweet and loving.

Doesn't matter which you choose, cause.....you'll probably want another one before long.....

Hi!! There is a show in Vallejo the second weekend in June. Let me know if you want more info! It is a four day show and I am showing all 4 days. It is a 'theme' show, Woofstock so people dress up and it is a fun and enjoyable show!

Welcome to SM! I'm so glad you found us and it looks like you're on the right track to finding your new baby from a reputable show breeder. :)

As far as girl vs boy, I have one of each and I prefer the boys actually. I got London (my female) ONLY so I could dress her up in cute dresses, etc, but she has never tolerated clothes very well and she is 2 1/2. Preston is a DOLL and I couldn't be more happy with him. To be honest, I LOOOOVE the boy clothes...they are so adorable although yes, they can be harder to find. Anymore, though, many online boutiques have great options for males. :)

You should consider a retiree

Hi and :Welcome 3:

I thought suggesting you buying a retiree' ( a pup that is retired from showing), so that it is already trained and spayed/neutered and up to all shots and it is usually less expensive.:aktion033:

Most of breeders will ship the pup to you.

I bought mine (in January 2010)from Diamond Maltese in Orlando Florida and they shipped her to California. If you need more details, you can e-mail me at [email protected], will be glad to help and send you pictures of my pup.

:wavetowel2:Sammy, mom of ..............

:dothewave: 5 irresistable fluffs.
