it's that time of year, who else has graduating family this year of any age?

My goddaughter graduates from 8th grade this weekend. Seems like only a year or two ago we were at her baptism - not 14 years!!!

Congrats on getting you son thru skool! Kool! :)
you think your old:blink:my 1st grandchild graduated last night:HistericalSmiley: I am so proud of him he graduated with a advanced degree, he'll start college in the fall. It seems like yesterday he was starting kindergarten:blush:

You know Joe the first one is the hardest. Congrats to you and your son:aktion033:
I have a daughter that just graduated from Bethel University with her 2nd degree. She is heading to Penn state for grad school. My baby can't believe it, where did the time go?
My baby graduated from the University of Delaware
two weeks ago! I'm very proud of her and I agree.... I don't
know where the time goes.

Congratulations, Joe!

How exciting Joe!!! Teen Grandkids but not graduating yet......talk about feeling old!!!!
Where does time go?
Yep! Feeling old here! lol My daughter will finish her masters degree this October and then hopefully she'll get a job!!! :) But, then I thought I heard her whisper something about going for another undergrad degree in a totally different field!!!

Congrats on raising such a great kid, Joe!

Congrats Joe. My 20-year-old is trying to do four years of college in roughly two, so he was a college sophomore this past year chronologically but a senior in terms of college -- he's only got three classes to take to graduate, and get a BA with a double major of economics and poli sci. Thank goodness for Advanced Placement classes in h.s. He had 39 credits. So he'll finish either this summer or in the fall. It is saving us a bundle of $$! Oh and he's been working too since September:) I'm so proud.
congrats on your son's graduation!!!:aktion033::aktion033::aktion033:
Stan's son (my boss) has three girls....

Congratulations Joe! you must be proud.
I'm old too...nephew #1 is a pharmacist with his own daughter, making me a great aunt....yikes. I remember bringing nephew #2 to a friend's house when he was a baby...he's 24, I can't believe I've known my friend that long. Nephew #3 is still at university and nephew #4 is graduating high school next week....there's 9 all together so I'll stop now...

Congrats...what a milestone!!! Our nephew graduated this past Friday. It's always a bit unnerving when you think of the year these kids were born and what was going on in your life at that time (how far down life's road we've gone lol). *creeeeek ... that was my back, don't be alarmed HAHAA! ;)*
Congratulations Joe! My son (my baby) also graduated high school on May 21st. We're very proud of him. He'll be off to the Merrimack College honor's program in the fall majoring in Biology/Pre-med. His dad and I are so happy he'll be staying local. It was a close call at first while he was weighing his options for either UCONN or Merrimack and we think the distance was the deciding factor for him. Merrimack is only a 20 minute ride from home and although he's staying at school, its close enough for him to come home if he wants to. The academic scholarships they offered also covered 1/2 of his tuition which was pretty hard to pass up, mostly in today's economy.

Its going to be tough letting him go in the fall but I know he'll do great things.
Congrats! everyone

Trace Adkins' song "Then They Do" came to mind as I read your post(s):

Yep they grow up fast and we are getting older. And we never stop worrying about them. Little kids, small worries, big kids, big worries.

Funny, when my kids were little and I complained and said that I couldn't wait for them to grow up my mom would either just stay quiet or laugh. Now with a 22 year old and a 17 year old both home I know exactly what she ment.
congrats to everyone else with a grad this year, no matter how young or old :chili:
