Puppy parties are run by our vet and basically puppies socialise and us (the owners) get to learn lots of interesting stuff about diet, grooming, health, training etc.
Anyway week one was a bit of a shambles. Javier didn't actually like the other dogs at all. He was also by far the oldest since he's four months. most of the rest were around 10 weeks-ish. And one of the other dogs is a Labradoodle which is the most energetic bizarre and strong dog I have ever seen in my life - almost knocked my head off with it's tail!
But we spoke to the vet and apparently there's one in every group, perhaps it will be better this weekend?
Has anyone had this sort of problem with their puppy?
Other cute things we've noticed is that he's incredibly quick to catch onto commands like "sit" and "drop", especially impressive since my year twelve exams start this Friday so I haven't spent a lot of time trying to train him at all. AND he won't eat food from anyone who's not part of the family, which is good but it was funny watching him trying to get away from the vet nurse who was trying to give him a treat after taking his stitches out (desexing, hind dew claws, and belly button hernia).
Talk to you all soon, I'm in an exceptionally good mood as I've just uploaded some new pictures - he's right here but I love looking at them
