Those worms are the extra protein that makes the egg yolks extra yellow and yummy! You don't need any roosters at all for eggs, the hens do all the work themselves, its just all the eggs will be unfertile.
That is hysterical. I don't think we'll have it for that much longer. Besides, I don't think I like eggs very much after witnessing what they eat. The little bugger is after those worms like as if they were the best swiss chocolate ever.
Someone told me you need a rooster on premises for the hen to lay eggs. I dunno...guess I'll google that later.
