I went to the Expo three years ago in Pomona. There is a lot of interesting events like the K-9 police dog work-outs, a bird show, lots of guest speakers, etc. Also tons of rescues, however be prepared to spend, spend, spend, there are tons of things you can buy. There are also donation jars at every single rescue, so if you stop to pet a rescue dog, you feel obliged to donate too.

I was disappointed though that you couldn't bring your pet. But then I thought, not everyone has a maltese and in Pomona, the majority of dog owners own pits. Needless to say, I wouldn't want to walk mine among them.

It also cost $10.00 in addition to park the car.
