Pictures vs. Reality

Besides having a difficult time getting the girls to be still to get good pictures, and never having my camera in hand to get candid pictures at just the right time, I also think that Lacie isn't very photogenic.

Lacie doesn't really like having her picture taken and I seldom get a nice expression from her. Looking at various pictures of her, I've determined that she's just not very photogenic. She's adorable in person and petit and very CUTE. But that is seldom reflected in her pictures.

On the other hand, Tilly always looks much better, imho, in photos than in person. She is very photogenic.

Guess it's like humans -- the camera seems to love some and doesn't love others.

Do any of you think that your pictures don't really look like your fluffs? Or am I just very bad at taking pictures? Maybe both!!!:HistericalSmiley::HistericalSmiley:

Abbey rarely takes a good picture although I think she's as cute as a button in person....not sure why that is. So when I DO get a good one of her, I use it to death!!!! :HistericalSmiley:
Lynn, I know what you mean. Zoey and Tess are photogenic but poor little Emy is much cuter than her pictures show. I can't seem to get a good one of her at all.
Lacey and Abby and Emy sound like little Crystal:wub:

In fact, Crystal tends to look *sad* in photos sometimes - although she is one happy malt. But she has more of a serious look on her face! She actually loves our little photo-shoots, but again, doesn't show it! She isn't expressive! She looks sad in some pictures - you should just look at that tail in motion (in other words, how it wags) while in these photo shoots sometimes though. You can clearly tell that she loves the photo shoot. BUT her face doesn't show it!

with Crystal: you can get 5 good pictures with 50 clicks.
with Snowy: you can get 45 good pictures with 50 clicks. This boy is VERY expressive and so very photogenic.

I agree, it is similar with humans ;)
Lynn,

I absolutely know what you mean. I can get a great picture of Teddy
or Benny at any time... if they would sit still that is. Harry loves to
have his picture taken and he'll sit there like a pro, but he is soooo
much cuter in person than he is in pictures. His fur is very white and
his face is so expressive... but the camera just doesn't catch that. So,
I don't have many good pictures of Harry at all.

BTW... in my opinion, both of your girls look adorable in all of their
pictures, so if Lacie is cuter in person than she is in her pictures....
she must be one adorable little fluff!!!

Bitsy is so cute and adorable but she always looks liek a tired sad old lady in piccies. she's such a happy girl too.Emily,Sasha are very photogenic,I rarely have to do a "do over" on them. Amber can look grumpy, but if I catch her at the right angle she photogs really well. Rylee is kinda hard to snap too,he hates his piccies taken...
100% correct...It is so hard to get a good shot of Chloe. Of course
to me she is a little cutie pie but it's hard to reflect it with a camera.
My other cutie, Libby is the photogenic one. Alvin the little rascal is too, but if you don't have him with the right background he blend in with it. :HistericalSmiley::HistericalSmiley:
I can never capture B&B in pictures, she really is much cuter in person. I was so excited when I got the one and only great picture of B&B (it's the one in my siggy).
Matilda looks just like her pictures:wub:
i have to take 1000 pics of dolce to post a few that he looks cute , i think he is much more cuter in person .. he always looks sad to me , and he rarely poses for me . lol

i think ur girls are very photogenic both of them..
Roxy always looks great in pics!
Amber - err, not so much!

Milo is the worst though! Thats why I have given up on taking pics of him - up until my friend started taking pics of him I didn't have a pic that actually looked like him!

Poppy is usually too dirty to look cute ... but for the most part he usually puts his head way down, like he's deep in prayer. :HistericalSmiley:

I do think he looks so serious in his photos. Here's the little sculptures I just had Christine do. Look at how she captured his serious/sad little expression!

Julee -- I LOVE the sculptures. Of course, I adore Christine's work and have a number of her creations. She did truly capture Poppy, imho. :)

And I'm so glad to hear that I'm not the only on that can't capture my fluffs with a camera.
I have trouble getting a good picture of Noelle, she really is a beautiful little girl, but it just doesn't show up in her pics.
Sigh...I guess I have this prob with my hubby!
He hates having his pic taken!

Coco always squints a bit from the flash.
Paris is prob easier to photograph but when she was younger she'd try to get the camera! lol

LOL, that was too funny!!

Aolani sometimes gets the redeye if I use flash. Thankfully he's learned to sit pretty still in our photo shoots so I don't have to use flash much.
Absolutely...Kodi's always running around or not paying attention. And of course just when I think I have the perfect pose my darn camera takes too long or the flash distracts her.
I think Lacie is very photogenic. She and Tilly look especially cute in their new big bows!

I rarely take a pic of Cody. He just hates the camera and gets so nervous/anxious and even starts to pant when the camera comes out. I make photo taking sessions a very happy go lucky atmosphere with lots of treats. But, he still wants nothing to do with photo taking. A trainer finally told me in order to get his pic, hold him close and try to comfort him while hubby takes the pic. He's in my avatar now and you can see his front legs stiff as a board and a very scared look on his little face. I think he's so adorable. You would never guess he's 9 yrs old now.

Mandy tolerates the camera, but, would rather sit right beside mommy getting all the treats.

Josey is a total ham and prances around when the camera comes out. I think getting dressed up and taking her pic is her favorite thing to do. If she could talk, she would have her own reality show, so, she could have the cameras on her 24/7. lol She knows where I keep the camera and will start barking at it, until, I take her pic, sometimes. I think I've created a little monster.

awwwwh Julee, I saw these in her page and totally LOVED them, especially Professor Poppy <3 love those big eyes!!! Did you receive them yet? any idea where you wanna display them, yet...oh it sure is exciting :chili:

Isn't it funny how much of their "look" come across in their personality. I have a hard time catching Bogie's silly side in pictures.
I think that they ALL are super adorable in their photos <3 love them all! Their pictures speak one sentence " we all are super adorable/cute"
I always thought that my Crystal looks cuter in reality than in most photos I take of her (in some, she tends to have a sad or serious face) ... Lol turned out that I am not the only one who thinks that way when snapping pictures of her malt :p
